GEWO HAS DEBUNKED A CLAIMED MADE BY SOME NIGERIAN AGAINST QUADRI ARUNA SELF-SPONSORED PROGRAMME

In contra to the rumour spreading around by some Nigerian concerning that all materials used, including gifts and monetary compensation offered by the Africa best player, Quadri Aruna were all donated by his international sponsor, GEWO.

This is to clear the air that the organization has debunked the same claim.

In recent time, there has been rumour mongering by some unidentified people in Nigeria that all materials, gifts and monies spent during some competition sponsored for young player by Aruna were all part of programs of GEWO, that all materials used during that causes were all covered by GEWO.

The disclaimer let has been issued GEWO, in which declared the organization relationship and cooperation between him, his personal business and that of his wife (also a player).

In that official letter, it has been clearly stated by GEWO as follows:

"His personal sponsorship including all GEWO products - like the new GEWO, rubber Nexxus EL Pro 53 SuoerSelect." And,

"All additional sponsorships with his Aruna Sportshop is covered by themselves - all products which he is donating and sponsoring in Nigeria, he always bought from GEWO."

ARUNA has been known since inception of his career as a self-sponsorer of his own and never been supported by and tier of government no matter how. Not until he happened to get out of the national and since been representing the country all the while, to this stage of representing the whole continent.

In view of the above, I want to believe that QUADRI should rather been appreciated for his uncommon love for his Nation and Africa at large. He should be encouraging to do more than to be castigated or speaking ill about.

There has many period of which he has to begged Nigerian government to allow him a chance to bring opportunities to Nigerian player, but which the government failed to utilized or showed any interest at all. He eventually visited the present Governor in Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, whom embraced the new normal, and the programme went on smoothly as expected.

The programme I think was also accepted by other neighboring States like Ogun, Lagos etc. And, throughout the process, there has never been a record that the financial implications were carried by those State government.

We would love to urge the general public to please do some research on what we have no knowledge before accepting any news or rumour.
